Pregnancy Massage

Massage is done in the side position which allow maximum comfort for our pregnant clients. We do not perform massage face down, only sideline. Pregnancy Massage is not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.

Shiatsu

This Eastern approach to healing incorporates Acupressure, a variety of yoga-like stretches and deep breathing techniques. This balances the energies of the body, mind and spirit enhancing overall health.

Ashiatsu- Ashi (Foot) Atsu (Pressure) Massage

Ashiatsu is a unique form of Deep Tissue Massage! The therapist supports herself with wooden bars suspended from the ceiling while applying different foot strokes along the body.Using the pressure of the therapist’s feet on strategic points along the back and legs, a push-pull-pumping affect is created on the soft tissue that surrounds the muscles and inter-vertebral disc space. Ashiatsu Massage will also be combined with Relaxation Massage Therapy for a powerful and relaxing massage.

Thai & Relaxation Massage

In this unique treatment based in Eastern traditions, the practitioner leads the client through a series of stretches while palming and thumbing along energy (‘sen’) line and pressure points. Incorporated in the massage are Relaxation Massage techniques. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and balances the body energetically.

POST OP Lymphatic Manual Massage

Benefits include faster healing, reduced swelling, pain relief after surgery.

A light rhythmic series of skin stretching (1oz pressure) is applied to specific areas (mimicking a pump) while gliding, stroking, tapping, and compression is used to direct lymph fluid in the desired direction (circular massage is not recommended). Since lymph fluid ultimately drains into the bloodstream at the base of the neck, this is the most important place to focus any lymphatic massage – even if you have swelling or inflammation in other areas. Specific areas of concern will also get extra attention.

ADDITIONAL PREP INFORMATION:

• Recommend 1 hour for FIRST treatment unless liposuction was the only surgery.
• Open wounds must be covered; re-dressing of wounds is NOT available; liposuction incisions are ok uncovered and will NOT be reopened by therapist; Drainage cups are fine if they haven’t been removed yet
• Client must be able to walk/stand on their own or bring assistance
• Best results are without compression garments during treatment
• Positional issues will be accommodated (i.e., sitting, standing, side-lying), pillowing will be provided for comfort
• Drink 80-100oz of water everyday

Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a non-invasive alternative healing practice using light touch to balance systems of the body using the client’s cranial rhythms. It is effective in a wide range of medical problems including pain, organ dysfunction, and emotional trauma.

Lymphatic Drainage & Therapeutic Massage

This massage uses a 1oz pressure to gently target the delicate lymph vessels and nodes that sit just below the skin without compressing the vessels. A light rhythmic series of skin stretching is applied to specific areas (mimicking a pump) while gliding, stroking, tapping, and compression is used to direct lymph fluid in the desired direction (circular massage is not recommended) since lymph fluid ultimately drains into the bloodstream at the base of the neck, this is the most important place to focus any lymphatic massage – even if you have swelling or inflammation in other areas. Recommended for fluid retention, bloating, fibromyalgia, vein insufficiency, detoxing after an illness, seasonal changes and/or diet changes. Desired results may need more than one session.
